"Innisfree" is a small working croft which lies in the hills overlooking Loch Awe. It is just outside the village of Kilchrenan, about fifteen minutes drive off the A83 just outside Taynuilt. On the adjoining pages you will find information about our self catering cottage (Knockdhu), just along the road. For those who want to do a spot of fishing Loch Awe lies just a few hundred yards away, while the rambler has mile upon mile of wild countryside to explore at leisure. |
||
The main town in the area is Oban which lies about 19 miles to the North and from there you can take a ferry trip to any of the many islands which dot the Western coastline of Argyll. The most popular destination is the monastic site on Iona which is reached via the Isle of Mull, and for the more adventurous you can also sail to the Outer Hebrides. Whatever you decide to do, a warm welcome is assured in the quiet, pleasant surroundings at 'Knockdhu'. |
